Quality

NBK Ceramic's demanding quality assurance applies to all of the manufacturing stages.

The raw materials are inspected and carefully tested when the goods arrive, before starting production. The individual stations monitor data that are relevant during the entire production sequence. Furthermore, interim production tests take place. After the firing process, the ceramics are subjected to a final inspection. Compliance with tolerances is checked directly at the kiln's outlet. A laboratory assesses the dimensions and physical characteristics of the final product. Glazed elements receive a second firing, after which the fired colour, coverage of the glazing and firing temperature are inspected. The ceramics then undergo the final inspection.

In addition, TERRART®  products are regularly subjected to independent monitoring by the Society for Quality Assurance and Material Testing (QsM).

NBK Ceramic has a project archive at its disposal, in which all of the reserve samples have been deposited for the past ten years. An exact replacement can be supplied in case there is a need for replacement.
